July 2008 Staff Re-Organization

The implementation of eClinicalWorks allowed us to reorganize our staff. Their responsibilities were re-aligned so that we may serve our patients more efficiently while offering excellent patient care. You may notice changes to the auto attendant when you call in and that walls have been knocked down and replaced with central workstations. We are excited about our changes and look forward to providing exceptional, competent and friendly patient care.

November 2007 New EMR System!

We are "LIVE" with a new electronic health record! After months of planning and preparation, we implemented eClinicalWorks in the middle of November and are continuing to refine and improve this tool so that it works to its maximum in supporting superb patient care.

Here are some of the changes you can expect:

  • Better overall coordination of your healthcare.
  • Elimination of paper records by maintaining electronic documents that can be easily shared between providers who are managing your care.

This is all done while ensuring 100% patient privacy.

We at Maine Neurology understand that the individuals we care for are people first and patients second, and that each deserves dignity and privacy. We are dedicated to providing the most accurate, modern and progressive care.

March 2006 New Accreditations for Maine Neurology

Maine Neurology recently received two critical accreditations.

  1. In January 2006, our Neurodiagnostics Laboratory achieved a 5-year term of accreditation by The Laboratory Accreditation Board of the American Board of Registration Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. Successful accreditation means the EEG Laboratory has met strict standards and is to be recognized as a place where patients and physicians can have confidence they are receiving quality diagnostics.
  2. In February 2006, our MRI service achieved a 3-year term of accreditation as the result of a recent rigorous survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical experts who assess the qualifications of the personnel and the quality of facility equipment. Our congratulations to the MRI and Lab departments!
